- always line dry - never tumble
- avoid drying dyed garments in direct sunlight - these will gently fade over time, but the extreme direct sun will exasperate this gentle fading process
- iron with steam
However, natural fibres like cotton & linen will naturally wear a little overtime on high-stress areas such as armholes, the crotch, knees & elbows: you can help your garments live longer by making repairs.
