the FIKA dress

The FIKA dress will take you through the seasons, a dress to be lived in and cherished.

I designed the FIKA dress for my gorgeous friend Rachel, and I loved how it turned out, so I decided to make it part of the SOFO studio collection.

The mustard yellow and white mini check FIKA dress is fully lined with soft yellow khadi cotton.

The dress has two nice deep hidden inseam pockets, perfect for storing found treasures.

It has a lovely full skirt; ideal for twirling around at weddings or while dancing in your kitchen (a firm family favourite in the Fox household).

Due to being handspun and handwoven, khadi can have some small imperfections; these are all part of its charm and character ~ it’s also beautifully soft and feels lovely on your skin, so much softer than industrially made cotton.

Designed, cut and sewn by Sophie at SOFO studio in Somerset.

• Main & lining fabric: 100% khadi cotton - handwoven in Bengal, India.

• Thread: 100% tencel & 100% cotton

Wash cool by hand, or on a gentle cycle at 30c max. Always line dry. Avoid drying or storing in direct sunlight. Gently iron on steam setting. Colour may fade gently over time.

XS: bust 91 cm / 36" (approx ~ size 8-10)
S: bust 99 cm / 38" (approx ~ size 10-12)
S/M: bust 103cm / 40” (approx ~ size 12-14)
M: bust 107 cm / 42" (approx ~ size 14-16)
L: bust 115 cm / 45" (approx ~ size 16-18)
XL: bust 123cm / 48" (approx ~ size 18-20)
